Peckham Inc. - Senior Network Engineer

SUMMARY

The Senior Network Engineer (SNE) will focus on ensuring the optimal performance and security of enterprise network technologies, supporting corporate operations. The SNE will collaborate closely with peers across various IT service areas in network analysis, design, implementation, and troubleshooting. This role will also provide hands-on and remote support of multi-vendor network technologies, along with maintaining expertise in wired and wireless networking and emerging technologies. The SNE will work closely with the Data Center team, participate in IT Department projects, and demonstrating an understanding of organizational policies and standards while promoting Peckham’s vision and values.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Provide a lead team role to ensure all enterprise network technologies perform optimally and securely to support Peckham corporate and business line operations.

+ Participate in network analysis, design and implementation, support, and troubleshooting with Network and Data Center Infrastructure team peers along with other Peckham IT service area teams and contracted resources.

+ Provide both hands-on and remote support/administration of assigned multi-vendor network and related technologies along with counterpart monitoring systems.

+ Maintain a solid understanding of enterprise-level wired and wireless networking, unified communications, and emerging Software Defined Network and Data Center concepts including virtual cloud and hybrid environments.

+ Work closely with the Data Center team and maintain a solid understanding of computers and storage technologies and functions relative to network/virtual-network distribution, both on premises and in cloud computing environments.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Participate in, and support, Peckham IT Department projects and initiatives with fellow service area staff.

+ Utilize and support network monitoring, logging, and scanning systems.

+ Utilize Peckham IT departmental management and change control systems.

+ Attend training and maintain certifications as necessary to develop, demonstrate and maintain skills and support Peckham client contracted-services requirements.

+ Provide Peckham IT Department management with timely status and reporting information as assigned within areas of responsibility.

+ Maintain and adhere to the Peckham organizational standard practices and policies.

+ Produce, update, and maintain Peckham Information Technology Department procedures, policies, and documentation.

+ Perform knowledge transfer and mentoring for Peckham IT Department staff.

+ Comply with the Peckham organizational privacy and security policies.

+ Participate in after-hours support and project work along with on-call rotations as necessary and assigned.

+ Maintain safe and clean work environment

+ Promote Peckham’s vision values and services to all customers and stakeholders

+ Assist in maintaining organizational wide quality standards

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

+ Bachelor’s level college degree in an IT related field and progressive 3-5 years’ experience and thought leadership with enterprise local and wide area networking technologies.

+ A combination of relevant experience and education will also be considered.

+ Possess an in-depth understanding and hands-on experience with physical network routers (routing protocols), switches, and wireless technologies.

+ Possess a broad understanding of associated networking technologies, particularly regarding security systems such as firewall IDS/IPS appliances and scanning technologies.

+ This position requires passing and maintaining federal and state security background checks. U.S. Citizenship required due to security clearances.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

+ Experience in Cisco ISR, Cisco Catalyst, and Cisco Nexus platforms

+ Experience with both interior and external routing protocols including OSPF and BGP

**Responsibilities:**

+ Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) engineers must work across diverse engineering disciplines in support of multiple space system programs. Northrop Grumman E3 engineers deliver valued oversight across all phases of a program from origin to orbit. To meet these challenges at Northrop Grumman an E3 engineer must have a strong aptitude for learning new and exciting innovations and a strong E3 skill set.

+ Writing, interpreting, allocating, tailoring, and flowing down E3 requirements to all design levels.

+ Present at design reviews to internal and external customers regarding E3 issues.

+ Writing E3 design guidelines, developing models and performing analyses on components, subsystems and systems using EMI principles.

+ Designing ground systems, chassis and harness shielding, EMI filters, and selecting and laying out interface circuitry for achieving EMC.

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Working knowledge of MIL-STD 461, MIL-STD 464, NASA-GEVS-7000 and other E3 space requirement standards.

+ Demonstrated ability to successfully allocate, tailor, and flowdown system level E3 requirements into lower-level requirements.

+ Extensive E3 design and analysis experience.

+ Experience with defense and aerospace industry practices, and programmatic skills supporting BOE, RFP, ROM, CAM, WBS, Risk assessments for E3 compliance.

+ Experience leading E3 groups or programs.

+ Working knowledge of lab test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, generators, amplifiers, and measurement antennas.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a specialty in Electromagnetics, RF, or analog circuitry is preferred.

**Salary Range:** $158,200 - $274,200

Join the Tactical Space Systems Division in a challenging and rewarding role as a **Staff Mission Analysis Systems Engineer** . Support small-to medium-class space vehicles enabling scientific research, weather, and national security across Low Earth Orbit at our **Gilbert, AZ** campus. This role encompasses complex and cutting-edge system level mission analysis of space vehicles using STK and Matlab simulations. These simulations are used to drive overall mission and vehicle design, Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), develop delta-V budgets, and create detailed space vehicle systems performance models involving power, attitude, propulsion, communication, payload and thermal sub-systems.

Responsibilities include:

+ Develop and maintain a suite of high-fidelity orbital and vehicle simulation and modeling tools

+ Simulation and analysis to assess space mission architecture and/or providing alternatives for delivering a Customer mission effect

+ System-of-systems trades for space missions

+ Assessment of a vehicle's day-in-the-life and creation of design reference missions (DRMs)

The role of a Mission Analysis Systems Engineer requires a strong fundamental understanding and familiarity with Astrodynamics, particularly Low Earth Orbit, either by education or experience. This role requires on-site, in-person support in a secure facility. Provides technical expertise to installation and problem solving related to infrastructure hardware or software. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 2 years professional work experience or an Associate's degree with a minimum of 4 years professional work experience. A minimum of 6 years of professional technical experience in telecom/data networking required for individuals without a degree.In-depth knowledge of telecom/network protocols, 7-layer OSI model, software, hardware and cabling systems. Knowledge of basic telecom/network monitoring and management tools. Must be able to work independently with total accountability for project results. Work is reviewed for long-term goal attainment. Must be customer focused and possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of personnel at various levels within and outside the institution. Good organizational and time management skills are required to handle the workload, prioritize repairs and track the various simultaneous active projects. Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills are also a necessity.

7+ years of demonstrated experience dedicated to IT infrastructure systems

5+ years of disaster recovery operations and management

5+ years of systems engineering experience and or Technical Project Management

3+ years of delivering results using an Agile Framework (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and Atlassian (Jira/Confluence)

Must be comfortable acting as liaison for OC TPT and examination of disaster recovery processes

Strong time management and organization skills

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Maximo** **Lead Systems Engineer** to join our team. Responsibilities

This position will require that you support configuration, monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and update voice and data communications systems to meet mission requirements. You must be available to travel up to 20% and maintain a valid US Passport, as well as possess a current DoD SECRET level security clearance. The position involves periodic paid STOT, up to 20%.

This position requires travel to land and sea-based locations including Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) on Kauai HI, Reagan Test Site (RTS) on Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands, Wake Island, and MDA’s test support vessels the Pacific Collector and Pacific Tracker.
