TOP RESPONSIBILITIES
Measure the scattering parameters of test coupons using 70GHz VNAs and 110GHz broadband set.
Extract the propagation properties of the materials under test using extraction and de-embedding algorithms.
Follow calibration and test procedures to assure good quality measurements
Perform testing on multiple samples data and check the quality of data.
Research documentation and instructions for further improvement of the test methods and test processes.
Perform statistical analysis to describe variability in the results and find patterns.
Document test data for all measurement projects
Run Dk/Df test methods such as FPOR (Farby-Perot Open Resonator)
Conduct correlation studies and geometry correction using HFSS and Simbeor.
Report test and modeling results to Signal Integrity Engineers for further analysis
Maintain Isola material database
Perform measurements on multiple material types to create Isola database
Write final report and give presentation
Develop scripts to help process and debug collected data using Python and Matlab.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s in electrical engineering
Strong background in Electromagnetic theory and wave propagation.
Excellent understanding of Transmission Line theories and design for high speed application.
Experience in high frequency testing equipment; VNA, Oscilloscopes, TDR measurement.
Have the ability to run simulation using HFSS and/or Simbeor
Ability to conduct basic statistical analysis
Familiar with PCB design tool such as KiCad and gerber files.

This Systems Engineering position is for a Human Spaceflight Principal Systems Engineer (T03) on a Civil and Space Systems (CSS) program at Northrop Grumman located in Gilbert, AZ and Sterling, VA. **Northrop Grumman is seeking** an Associate Electrical Engineer/Electrical Engineer. This position will be located at our Space Systems Sector in Dulles, VA or Gilbert, AZ depending on availability.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Tactical Space Systems.
**Roles and Responsibilities –**
In this role you will: Be responsible for the technical understanding of the spacecraft bus and electrical power subsystem as a whole - Be responsible for detailed technical knowledge of various electrical power equipment - Manage the budget and schedule on assigned project - Provide active oversight of assigned technical team and hardware development effort - Apply core EE principals to adapt/improve heritage equipment and features - Prepare proposal costing and technical assessments - Prepare and present technical packages for design reviews - Act as a liaison with program management and various customers.
**Basic Qualifications for Associate Electrical Engineer:**
**A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:**
+ Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
+ Be majoring in or having majored in a Electrical Engineering or related field
+ Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
