As a Project Manager III, you will manage and oversee all aspects of a project to ensure it is completed on-time and within budget. You are responsible for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing and outside vendors. You will prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project as well as contribute to moderately complex aspects of a project. Your work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Robust portfolio of projects that could include mining, municipal water systems, and/or land development

**Job Scope**

Oversees daily operations in the Major Sub-Systems Cell. Responsible for cost, schedule and technical performance of the manufacturing cell. Works closely with production managers and operations support groups (scheduling, manufacturing engineering, quality, mechanical tech leads) to ensure proper actions and plans are in place to efficiently produce assemblies, with quality and on time to customer needs. Acts as the primary customer/PM contact for all manufacturing activities. Establishes high level manufacturing milestones and monitors adherence to plans and schedules, identifies risks and is able to coordinate activities with different functional teams to obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources, technical requirements, quality issues, etc. Develops mechanisms for monitoring WIP and for intervention and problem solving with line managers, support groups and Programs.

Salary Range: $92,600.00 - $139,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. As a Project Manager, you are responsible for the scope, schedule, cost, quality and client satisfaction of a project throughout its entire lifecycle, from Initiating through closing phases. However, the PM depends on the help of other people to perform most of the actual activities of the project. A Project Manager’s role is primarily focused around written and verbal communication to all project stakeholders.

The PM is responsible for overseeing and performing project management functions on all client site projects, budgets and scopes. The PM will act as the responsible person on their assigned projects and have direct control over all project activities. This position will be providing direction to a wide range of internal and external personnel.

What will you be doing?

Daily activities include project communications, scheduling, task lists for technicians, managing deliverables from/for other departments, and overseeing the completion of projects to client expectation or better. The PM is responsible for completing systems integration projects on time, on budget and achieving high customer satisfaction from our customers. The majority of this employee's time will be spent managing projects and communicating with all project stakeholders. As a primary interface to the client, the Project Manager develops a strong long-term relationship - managing the client relationship, including expectations, communications and satisfaction.

Coordinates and communicates:

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be met by an employee. The employee may be exposed to construction site conditions on a regular basis. Employee will be responsible for their safety while on job sites and to comply with all safety regulations in place by the GC. Use of PPE is usually required on job sites. The environment may include hospital and medical facilities. The employee can typically spend at least 40% of their time on their feet and be required to mobile around the construction site. The employee must have the ability to occasionally climb ladders, use stairs and lift and/or move materials up to 20 pounds in construction areas. The individual is regularly required to use keyboards, test equipment and controls required for SI installation projects. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth vision. When not on construction sites, the employee will experience normal office conditions and be required to use office equipment such as computers, peripherals, etc.

Travel: Frequent travel by car and occasional airplane trips are required. Employee must possess a valid driver’s license in their state of residence. This will be evaluated based on strength of the candidate. Local travel to client sites (within a 2-hour driving distance each way) will make up 70-90% usually. Less than 10% remote travel is required on a regular basis.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements**

+ BA/BS in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Business or Related field AND 4+ years of experience in environmental remediation, consulting, or related fields or demonstrated equivalency of education and experience.

+ Candidate must successfully pass a background check and motor vehicle records check.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ 6 + years of experience in environmental remediation, consulting, or related fields.

+ Demonstrated seller-doer experience, balancing business development with project execution.

+ Strong technical background in environmental remediation and regulatory compliance.

+ Established industry relationships and a book of business in relevant sectors.

+ Experience managing multi-million-dollar projects and accounts.

+ Expertise in contract negotiation, sales forecasting, and revenue management.

+ Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams in a matrixed organizational structure.

+ Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.

+ Proficiency in CRM tools, sales tracking, and project management software.

+ Experience leading large-scale environmental remediation programs.

+ Established relationships with EPA, DOT, DOE, or other regulatory agencies.

+ Professional certifications (e.g., PE, PG, PMP, or similar industry credentials).

**Additional Information**

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $120,000.00 - $140,000.00.
