Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.

**What You Will Do**
+ Perform duties related to assembly, maintenance, and repair of boilers, pressure vessels, tanks and vats by performing a variety of complex welding processes such as electric resistance, oxy acetylene or arc torches.
+ Perform routine maintenance activities.
+ Develop solutions for various maintenance situations.
+ Complete Work Orders and other maintenance documentation.
+ Train and mentor maintenance employees.

**What You Bring To Freeport**
+ Two (2) years of experience in the crafts of Welder/Boilermaker or a combination of education and experience
+ Proficiency in welding/cutting.
+ Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.

The production welder welds in all positions utilize a high degree of proficiency while utilizing full skills of the trade including knowledge of common heat reactions of structural metals and is certifiable. Core Responsibilities
+ Follows applicable welding procedures (AWS, AISC)
+ Welds on the ground level, above ground and below ground, in any required position.
+ Chips peens and grinds material to prepare for welding or finish.
+ Welds structural, bridge and industrial materials such as plates, sheets, girders, tanks, etc., occasionally involving uncommon structural metals or machine metals under close tolerances of heat application and workmanship.
+ Perform gouging and scarfing as needed.
+ Capable of passing welding tests in accordance to AWS D1.1.
+ Transport material by a crane as needed and required.
+ Keeps work area organized and clean.
+ Perform other routine duties per management direction.
+ Must adhere to and follow all safety rules and PPE requirements
Education/Training - Work Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and/or 12 months of stable work experience. Must pass required weld test.
Specialized Knowledge – Certificates & Licenses
+ Equipment Knowledge & Skills – variety of hand tools and welding equipment
+ Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
+ Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
+ Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

We are actively seeking an onsite Electrical Prototyping Fabrication Technician to join the Test Equipment Engineering Directorate in Tucson, Arizona.
The Test Equipment Engineering Directorate (TEE) includes all the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test including test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization and engineering laboratory management. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.
The Electrical Prototyping Fabrication Technicians work in an engineering environment to co-develop engineering hardware in accordance with customer and internal requirements, as well as industry standards. Candidates will collaborate with multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects to bring design concepts to fruition, providing rapid engineering, fabrication and prototyping solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle.
What You Will Do
+ Fabricate, maintain, modify, and repair complex prototype electrical assemblies
+ Rely on extensive experience to interpret drawings, schematics, 3D models, written notes, and specifications
+ Lead other technicians in the layout and fitment of electrical, electro-optical, electro-mechanical, and mechanical assemblies
+ Adapt methods and procedures to test, analyze, and troubleshoot new hardware
+ Apply advanced skills to test, inspect, and prove-in complex prototype electrical assemblies
+ Lead in electrical/mechanical engineering drawing peer reviews to validate engineering design specifications in development of producible prototypes
+ Assess complex designs to ensure producibility, maintainability, safety, and reliability
+ Communicate build concerns to customers and collaborate on design improvements
+ May work in closed/proprietary/classified areas
Qualifications You Must Have
+ Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience, or a HS Diploma or equivalent with 10 years relevant experience
+ Experience in an engineering environment, testing and fabricating electrical assemblies in four or more of the following areas: cables or wire harnesses, breakout boxes, chassis, circuit card modifications, racked electronic equipment, and troubleshooting of systems in an integration environment
+ Experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

+ Experience analyzing and interpreting schematics and drawings to identify producibility issues
+ Military electronics or avionics training
+ Familiarity with 3D drawings and CAD tools
+ J-STD-001 Solder certification

The salary range for this role is 48,000 USD - 116,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
