**Key Requirements:** Client is requesting a manager or senior manager with **prior industry experience** in category management and strategic sourcing (sales and customer support category experience is a plus, but not mandatory)

**Role Description**

+ Develop long-term, holistic category strategy that enables the category management team to execute on multiple procurement capabilities, including supplier relationship management, business partnering, strategic sourcing, value creation, demand management, innovation, and supplier diversity

+ Collect, synthesize, and interpret best-in-class market intelligence to shape the category strategy, coordinating with SMAs as needed

+ Identify, prioritize, plan, and execute initiatives to deliver cost savings and other types of value (ex. revenue uplift, risk reduction, innovation) to the business

+ Develop executive level communication materials to gain strategy buy in from procurement and business unit leadership

+ Serve as a trusted advisor to the category management team on their procurement maturity journey, including proactively identifying other areas for Accenture to support
