Course: Interface Design 2: Web Design

This course focuses on the web design prototyping process including research, wireframes, design comps, and interactive mock-ups that address a creative brief. Students learn website production, as well as Search Engine Optimization as it applies to design assets.

What You Will Do:

+ Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions while incorporating innovative teaching strategies

+ Engage students in cutting-edge technologies and industry trends

+ Assess student performance and mentor classroom success to prepare them for their chosen career path

+ Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What You Will Bring:

+ Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in web design, UX/UI design, graphic design, or other related discipline.

+ Preferred: Master’s degree and 3 or more years’ experience in the design industry is preferred.

+ Skills in the following are required: User Experience, User Interface Design and an understanding of designing for and working with Content Management Systems such as Wordpress.

+ The design thinking process and industry knowledge of principles of design, typography, color, brand development, and current trends are expected.

+ Skills in the Following programs are required: Adobe Experience Design, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator. Job titles that fit the criteria: Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, Web Designer.
