**Salary:** £42,000 - £52,000

**About Your Opportunity:**

This is more than just a job; it’s a mission.

The Commercial Officer operating in our Commercial team. This role will be responsible for the day to day commercial and contract management activities across NGUK’s Defence & National Security customers, working on other existing contracts and proposals for programmes spanning multiple sectors, including those within Maritime, Aerospace and Cyber.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Lead day to day contract management and administration activities for multi-million pound contracts.

+ Preparation for negotiation of contracts terms, licence terms, scope and pricing, recognising the risk trade-off, working closely with the relevant Commercial team members, Programme Manager, Business Development Manager, Finance Team and Supply Chain Lead and working within approvals

+ Manage the legal review of contract terms and conditions

+ Work with the wider Commercial team with higher value, complexity and strategically significant proposals and negotiations

**Your Future Team:**

+ Join a dedicated, supportive, commercial function - responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of Contracts, which range from Submarine systems development to Cyber & Intelligence solutions;

+ Integrate with Delivery teams - to enable the successful execution of programmes of national importance;

+ Build lasting relationships with Customers - promoting collaborative best practice;

+ Be part of a wider Business Management organisation - working closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Trade Compliance and Project Controls to maximise Business performance.

**We are looking for:**

+ Previous Commercial experience, with strong organisational skills

+ Excellent people and communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service

+ Proactive, organised individual, able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines

+ Relevant degree (such as Law, Business, Economics) or some industry experience desirable

**Security clearance:**
