Support manufacturing through procurement of raw materials and components. Execute supply chain strategies to capture cost savings and improve lead-time, while managing out-of-stocks on raw materials. Develop supplier relationships to secure the best quality materials at the greatest value for our customers. Provide timely and accurate information for internal employees.
· Follow all company policies and procedures.
· Follow and ensure compliance to quality system and cGMP programs.
· Follows the established ordering schedule for routine orders.
· Works with accounts payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.
· Works with other departments to identify and prioritize the handling of rush orders.
· Identifies back order items and follows up with the areas that the back order will affect.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
· Manage the order fulfillment process, which may include all activities from quote to delivery of product, as dictated by the scope of business needs.
· Manage the general purchasing process, which includes creation of Purchase Orders, confirmations, issue resolution, returns, replacements, order status, analyzing, reporting, etc.
· Review, update, and maintain purchase order details until the order is closed and assess purchase order history to help ensure deliverables are met.
· Identify and implement actions to achieve efficiencies in our daily processes.
· Use metrics and key performance indicators to continuously improve and drive change with our team, internal customers, and internal stakeholders.
· Communicate regularly with internal customers to ensure timely product delivery and prioritization of purchasing activities.
· Communicate and troubleshoot issues with internal stakeholders.
· Manage expedited deliveries and conduct needed follow-up to assure customer satisfaction.
· Work closely with Commodity Manager with various assigned tasks related to measuring and reporting on risk position related to assigned commodities
· Work closely with Commodity Manager for daily execution of assigned commodities, commodity pricings with sales force, customers and vendors.
· Works closely with Commodity manager to assist with sourcing activities and PPV analysis
· Manages complex commodity groups
· Support documentation requirements for various products.
Qualifications:
· Non-supervisory role.
· Must have a college degree.
· Five + years of work experience.
· No certifications or licenses required.
· Must have good math skills.
· Excellent computer skills needed
· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Must be willing to learn new tasks and procedures.
· Ability to efficiently and effectively perform all essential position duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to self or others.
· Maintain a regular and dependable work attendance record with few instances of unplanned and/or unexpected absence.
