Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in Phoenix, Arizona for a focused and meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist. As a specialist in this role, you will be centered around Accounts Payable processing, handling everything from processing payments in batches to balancing sheet reconciliations. This position is within the industry and offers a hybrid workplace with a schedule of on-site work every Wednesday, with the remaining hours remote.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner

• Maintain and manage precise customer credit records

• Resolve Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments issues

• Oversee the processing of a significant number of invoices monthly, focusing on managing the processes

• Input invoices into the Concur system, ensuring they match headers and get approved once a week

• Every Wednesday, process the invoices, transferring excel templates into Concur from Great Plains Accounting, and process the batches

• Pay keen attention to dates and posting payments

• Reconcile balance sheets regularly

• Use Accounting Software Systems such as ADP - Financial Services and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning to perform accounting functions

• Carry out auditing tasks as required.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Coding is vital for the role

• Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems is required

• Proficiency in using Concur is needed

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary

• Capability to perform Accounting Functions is required

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) is essential

• Understanding of Accrual Accounting is necessary

• Experience in Auditing is required

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) operations is needed

• Proficiency in Great Plains Accounting is essential
