Job Title: Control System Specialist Level II

Job Description

The Control System Specialist Level II will assist in the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of devices related to automated control systems. This role will begin to focus on programming and testing control systems and user interfaces.

Responsibilities

+ Assist in the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated control systems.

+ Focus on programming and testing control systems and user interfaces.

+ Oversee and assist in technician-level work.

+ Pair with co-workers for training and task outlines including construction coordination and programming activities.

+ Perform field surveys and document existing conditions.

+ Assist in design activities in support of projects.

Essential Skills

+ Four years of technical or higher-level schooling (or equivalent experience).

+ Experience with automated building controls.

+ Knowledge of PLC programming and instrumentation.

+ Understanding of Honeywell, JACE, Tridium, Allen-Bradley, and Siemens PLC systems.

+ Ability to troubleshoot control systems.

+ Industry-related training class focused on control systems or programming required within 1 year.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Knowledge of HVAC and central plant systems.

+ Tridium/Niagara/JACE knowledge is a plus.

+ Strong problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to maintain and troubleshoot plant systems.

Work Environment

The work environment includes both field and office settings (50/50). Tasks will be performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. The primary locations include an onsite location or an office. Standard company hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with additional hours as needed depending on project requirements. Business casual attire is required, including clean jeans and polo shirts. Company vehicles are available for use during work hours, and mileage can be expensed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
